Overview
Samburu National Reserve is located in northern Kenya, along the Ewaso Ng’iro River. The park is 220 miles or a six-and-a-half-hour drive from Nairobi.
There is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Several large game species common to Kenya’s northern plains can be found in abundance here, including the following dry-country fauna: gerenuk. All three big cats can be found here that is the lion, cheater and leopard, the Beisa oryx,reticulated giraffe, and the gravy’s zebra can also be found here, as well as the hippopotamus, Elephant, and the cape buffalo
