One of the main attractions of Naivasha is Lake Naivasha itself. The freshwater lake spans over 139 square kilometers and is surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque scenery. Visitors can take boat rides on the lake, allowing them to get up close and personal with the resident hippos and a variety of bird species. The lake is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 species of birds, including the iconic African fish eagle, making it an ideal spot for bird enthusiasts
Itinerary
You will be picked at your hotel by 6:30 am by our vehicle. You will have a brief stop over at the view point for a chance to enjoy the breathtaking views of the great rift Valley.
You will then proceed to Naivasha via mai mahiu road then divert at the moi South junction.
You will head straight to hells gate national park. Here you will have an option of doing a game drive while cycling or using the vehicle.Hells gate is famously known for the movie lion king. You will get to see where the movie was shoot from.
There is rock climbing at the park if you are an adrenaline junkie person.
From the small stop at the watchers tower rock you will head to see the gorges then later on go and have a deep at the famous natural spa the olkaria geothermal spa. After a long day you will head to moi South lake where you will find a delicious lunch ready for you.
After lunch you will head out for a sunset boat ride as you get to see hippopotamus and the many species of birds at lake naivasha. While doing the boat ride you might also want to go upto crescent island and have a walk with the animals like zebras,waterbucks,impalas,thompsons gazelles and giraffes.
After the boat ride you will head back to the vehicle and head back to Nairobi.
